Aqueous Geochemistry Environmental Impacts

S&T’s aqueous geochemistry research focuses on understanding fundamental water-rock interactions and applying this knowledge to environmental problems. These problems include addressing pollution from agricultural runoff, acid rock and mine drainage, and produced waters. Researchers focus on understanding the fate and transport of metals and metalloids in aqueous systems.
