The sustainability and security of water resources is a grand societal challenge. Missouri S&T is up to this challenge, using a variety of approaches and techniques to find ways to more effectively use, manage, save and clean water. Research focuses on groundwater hydrology; contaminant transport; water management in agricultural systems; remote sensing techniques to quantify water loss and subsidence; management of water in petroleum and mining applications; and hydrologic modeling.
