Wellbore Integrity

Ongoing research in wellbore integrity includes the numerical simulation of wellbore integrity using mechanical earth modeling to investigate micro-annuli between the wellbore and cement or cement and casing, and laboratory bench scale physical modeling of the wellbore cementing process. Part of this work focuses on the environmental and safety implications associated with maintaining wellbore integrity following multi-stage hydraulic fracturing.
